Population Settings

Navigate to Administration > Populations and select your population. The settings page opens with a sidebar on the left listing all available modules.

  • Settings — Edit your population’s display name, species, abbreviation, description, and banner image. These details appear on your population’s profile throughout finwave and on the public page if enabled.
  • Relationships — Manage steward and beneficiary relationships between your population and other populations.
  • Individuals — Browse, search, and manage individuals in your population.
  • Review Animals — Review provisionally created animals awaiting confirmation.
  • Catalog — Access the Catalog Builder for managing population graphs (requires finwave Pro).
  • Analysis — Run population analyses including social network analysis, discovery curves, composition breakdowns, and capture history exports (requires finwave Pro).
  • ML Center — View ML model performance metrics for your population’s detection, classification, and identification models.
  • Review Tasks — Create and manage review tasks for collaborative data validation (requires finwave Pro).
  • Data Access — Configure data export and API access settings.
  • Public Page — Enable and configure your population’s public landing page. Set up the subdomain slug, hero image, call to action, and social links. See Public Pages for the full guide.
  • Highlights — Create and manage highlights (stories, papers, announcements, milestones) that appear on your public page.
  • Members — Invite new members, assign roles, and manage existing membership.
  • Supporters — Manage external contributors and supporters.
  • Requests — Review and respond to membership join requests.
  • News — Publish news articles for your population community (requires finwave Pro).
