Populations can now have a publicly accessible landing page at their own subdomain (e.g., srkw.finwave.io). These pages are search-engine-indexed and designed for researchers, conservation organizations, journalists, and the general public.

  • Hero section with customizable image and credit
  • Stats bar showing key metrics (individuals, encounters, images, contributors, tracking period) computed automatically from your data
  • About section pulled from your population description, with organization cards for each managing organization
  • Featured individuals grid — select up to 8 individuals to highlight, or let finwave auto-select the most-encountered
  • Highlights feed — share news, papers, announcements, and milestones on your public page
  • Call to action — customizable CTA encouraging visitors to contribute
  • Social links — link to your website, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube
  1. Navigate to Population Settings > Public Page
  2. Toggle the page on and enter a subdomain slug
  3. Submit the slug for platform admin approval
  4. Once approved, configure your hero image, featured individuals, CTA, and social links

See Public Pages for the full guide.

Platform administrators can review and approve or reject slug requests from the new Slug Requests card in Platform Administration.

Public pages expose only curated content and aggregate statistics — no GPS coordinates, contributor details, raw encounter records, or data export capabilities.

  • Capture history analysis added to the Workbench analysis suite
  • ML Center component updates for population-level metrics
  • Various bug fixes and performance improvements
